About the AWC Magazine - Issue 129 Download

ISSUE TEASER:

This issue of the American Window Cleaner magazine opens with some extremely helpful safety tips by AWC contributor Gary Mauer. He lists a handful of topics such as aerial lifts and reviews the safety precautions for each one. International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) is the battering ram of safety. It seeks an alliance with OSHA and they hope to create more safety programs.

What does it mean to go green? Longtime magazine contributor Amber Twist hopes to shed some light on the window cleaning industry and its role in the perceived environmental crisis. Twist gets the opinions of a few different window cleaning companies and workers. She concludes by saying she believes that everyone should plan for a safe future.

Solutions for small businesses part four kicks off with AWC contributor Anne Richter (check out the last three issues for the previous parts!). Richter advises that all business owners should create an employee handbook. She recommends filling it with an equal employment opportunity statement, company policy, compensation, benefits, and general guidelines.

ISSUE HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Postcard marketing may not be efficient anymore
  • Why you should create a website for your window cleaning business
  • ReachMaster announces their LightLift series
  • Don Chute joins J. Racenstein
